MUMBAI MEGA BLOCK: CENTRAL LINE, HARBOUR LINE, TRANS HARBOUR LINE, URAN LINE, and WESTERN LINE: May 12, 2024
Central Railway and Western Railway will conduct Mumbai Mega Block and Jumbo Block on most of the Sundays for the maintenance works of rail racks and other related works under both the Railway zones.
Central Railway’s Train Block is called ✅ Mega Block and Western Railway’s Train Block is called ✅ Jumbo Block.

Central Railway announced the details of Mega Block on Sunday, 12.05.2024. Western Railway also announced the details of Jumbo Blocks in Western Line on 12.05.2024.

CENTRAL LINE
Matunga – Mulund Up and Down Fast Lines (11.00 am – 03.10 pm)
- Down Fast Line
- Last local before block for Badlapur : The train will depart from CSMT at 10.20 hrs
- First local after block for Badlapur : The train will depart from CSMT at 15.03 hrs
- Up Fast Line
- Last local before block for Ambernath : The train will arrive CSMT at 11.10 hrs
- First local after block for Karjat : The train will arrive CSMT at 15.55 hrs.
Down Fast line services departing CSMT Mumbai from 10.25 am to 02.45 pm will be diverted on DOWN slow line at Matunga halting at their respective schedule halts between Matunga and Mulund stations and will arrive destination 15 minutes behind schedule.
Up fast line services departing Thane from 10.50 am to 03.08 pm will be diverted on UP slow line at Mulund, halting at their respective schedule halts between Mulund and Matunga and further re-diverted on UP fast line at Matunga station and will arrive destination 15 minutes behind schedule.

HARBOUR LINE
Central Railway announced that Mega Block on Harbour Line is cancelled. So Up and Down Harbour local trains will run as per Sunday Time Table. However a Special Maintenance Block will be on Trans-Harbour line from 11.30 hrs to 14.30 hrs on date 12.05.2024.
TRANS – HARBOUR LINE
Turbhe Station Up and DN Trans – Harbour Line (11.30 am – 03.00 pm)
Special Block on Up and Down Trans – Harbour line at Turbhe station from 11.30 am to 15.00 pm. Thane – Vashi UP and Down and Thane – Panvel Trans – Harbour are closed during this period.
URAN LINE
Not yet announced the Mega Block details in URAN Line.
WESTERN LINE
Santacruz – Goregaon Stations Up and Down Slow Lines (10.00 am – 03.00 pm)
- Western Railway has announced that a Jumbo Block lasting five hours will be implemented on UP and Down Slow lines between Santacruz and Goregaon stations from 10:00 hrs to 15:00 hrs on Sunday, 12th May, 2024.
- During the block period, all Slow line suburban trains will be diverted to the Fast line between Santacruz and Goregaon stations.
- Some Slow suburban services will bypass Vile Parle station due to platform length constraints and Ram Mandir station due to platform unavailability on the Fast lines.
- However, services will continue to operate at Vile Parle and Ram Mandir stations on the Harbour lines.
- Additionally, some suburban trains will be cancelled during the block, and certain Borivali and Andheri trains will terminate at Goregaon on the harbour lines.
Western Railway also announced that there will be another Major Train blocks on 11/12.05.2024 and 08/09.05.2024, details are attached.
- Churchgate – Marine Line : Major Train Block 11/12.05.2024
- Churchgate – Virar : 3 Hours Mega Block on 11/12.05.2024
Western Railway announced that there’s a 3-hour block at Churchgate due to bridge work from 1:10 AM to 4:10 AM. Due to this some trains will remain canceled between Churchgate and Mumbai Central. The details are as under:-
- VR91018 Virar – Churchgate Departs Virar: 23:49 hrs.
- BO91015 Churchgate – Bhayander Departs Churchgate 23.21
- VR91024 Virar – Churchgate Departs Virar: 00:05 hrs,
- VR90011 Churchgate – Virar Departs Churchgate: 04.15.
The maintenance mega block / jumbo block is essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused.
