Main Features
- There will be only one ticket for both going and coming back.
- The fare is based on the total round-trip distance for Mail/Express trains.
- Railway will provide onboard catering for these special trains.
- Other charges like reservation, superfast, catering, and service charges will be separate.
- Aastha special trains with a single number, operating on a round-trip basis
- Fares will be rounded off as usual, and normal child fare rules apply.
- Normal cancellation and refund rules apply.
- Linen Service in Aastha Special Trains : The passengers will get 01 Bed sheet, 01 Blanket and 01 Pillow (with cover) in Aashta special trains.

The Ministry of Railways facilitated Aastha Special Trains dedicated to ferrying pilgrims to Ayodhya. Below is the list of these trains.
- Train no. 04536 Chandigarh – Ayodhya Cantt – Chandigarh Aastha Special Train: Train will depart form Chandigarh at 10.20 hrs and will arrive Ayodhya Cantt at 02.55 hrs. The train will depart from Ayodhya Cantt at 00.40 hrs and will arrive Chandigarh at 16.05 hrs. Date : Ex- CDG: -07.03.2024, Ex: AYC: – 09.03.2024. - Train No.08213 Gondia – Ayodhya Dham – Gondia Aastha Special Trains (02 Trips) :- Gondia – Ayodhya Dham train will depart from Gondia at 10.05 hrs and will arrive Ayodhya Dham (AY) at 11.30 hrs. The train will depart from Ayodhya Dham at 19.00 hrs and will arrive Gondia at 19.25 hrs. Date : from Gondia – Ayodhya Dham on 06.03.2024, from Ayodhya Dham – Gondia on 08.03.2024. - On February 27, 2024, AASTHA special train was flagged off at Badharghat Railway Station. The train operates between Agartala and Ayodhya.
- Goa – Ayodhya Aastha Special Train : On February 13, 2024, a train departing from Goa and carrying approximately 2,000 pilgrims to Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, was officially launched.

- Amb Andaura – Ayodhya Dham Aastha Special Trains : The inauguration of the Aastha Special Train destined for Ayodhya, departing from the Amb Andaura railway station in Una district, Himachal Pradesh, took place on February 5th, 2024.
- Kochuveli – Ayodhya Aastha Special Trains : The first ‘Aastha Ayodhya special train from Kerala will be flagged off from the Kochuveli railway station at 10 am on 09.02.2024.
- Mehsana – Ayodhya Aastha special Trains : Gujarat’s first Aastha special train to Ayodhya was flagged off from Mehsana railway station on 06.02.2024.

Single ticket shall be issued for both onward and return journey. Booking of tickets in such trains shall be done only by IRCTC.
