MEGA BLOCK January 19, 2025:: MUMBAI LOCAL TRAIN

MUMBAI MEGA BLOCK: CENTRAL LINE, HARBOUR LINE, TRANS HARBOUR LINE, URAN LINE, and WESTERN LINE: January 19, 2025

Central Railway and Western Railway will conduct Mumbai Mega Block and Jumbo Block on most of the Sundays for the maintenance works of rail racks and other related works under both the Railway zones.

Central Railway’s Train Block is called ✅ Mega Block and Western Railway’s Train Block is called ✅ Jumbo Block.

Central Railway announced the details of Mega Block on Sunday i.e. on 19.01.2025. Western Railway also announced the details of Jumbo Blocks in Western Line on 19.01.2025. Mumbai local train mega block details are as follows

CENTRAL LINE

Mulund – Matunga Up and Down Fast Line ( 11.30 am – 03.30 pm)

Central Railway has announced a Mega Block on the Fast Line between Mulund and Matunga for both up and down trains. The block will be in effect from 11:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

KARJAT STATION : SPECIAL TRAFFIC AND POWER BLOCK O­N 17.01.2025 AND O­N 19.01.2025

Central Railway has announced special traffic and power blocks to facilitate the offloading and dismantling of portals at Karjat station as part of the Karjat yard modification project.

Details of Block o­n 17.01.2025 for offloading of Portals

• Date of Block : 17.01.2025 (Friday)
• Duration of Block : 13.50 hrs  to 15.35 hrs
• Traffic Block Section
  • UP and Mid line between Palasdhari(excluding crossovers)  and Karjat stations (including crossovers)
  • UP and DOWN lines between Karjat (including Panvel end crossovers of Karjat PF 3) to Chok / Bhivpuri station(excluding crossovers)

Working of Suburban Trains during the Block period

Suburban services between Badlapur and Khopoli  will remain cancelled  during the block period.

• Khopoli local departing CSMT at 12.20 hrs and Karjat local departing CSMT at 13.19 hrs will be short terminated at Ambarnath station.
• Karjat local departing CSMT at 13.40 hrs will be short terminated at Badlapur  station.
• Local for CSMT, departing Karjat at 13.55 hrs and departing Khopoli at 13.48 hrs will short originate from Ambarnath station.
• Local for CSMT, departing Karjat at 15.26 hrs will short originate from Badlapur  station.

Details of Block o­n 19.01.2025 for dismantling of Portals

• Date of Block : 19.01.2025 (Sunday)
• Duration of Block : 11.20 hrs  to 13.05 hrs
• Traffic Block Section
  • UP and Mid line between Palasdhari(excluding crossovers)  and Karjat stations (including crossovers)
  • UP and DOWN lines between Karjat (including crossovers) to Chok / Bhivpuri station(excluding crossovers)

Regulation of UP Mail/Express trains

• Train No.11014 Coimbatore – LTT express will be regulated at Lonavala from 11.30 hrs to 12.40 hrs.
• Train No. 12493 Pune – Hazrat Nizamuddin AC express and Train no 12164 Chennai-LTT express will be regulated in Pune division and handed over at Lonavala from 12.50 hrs o­nwards.

Working of suburban trains during the Block Period

Suburban services between Neral and Khopoli will remain cancelled  during the block period.

• Karjat – Khopoli locals departing Karjat at 12.00 hrs and 13.15 hrs and Khopoli-Karjat locals departing Khopoli at 11.20 hrs and 12.40 hrs will remain cancelled.
• CSMT – Karjat locals departing CSMT from 09.27 hrs to 11.14 hrs will be short terminated at Neral station.
• Karjat – CSMT locals departing Karjat from 11.19 hrs to 13.00 hrs will short originate from Neral.

Central Railway announced that due to a special traffic and power block on 19th January 2025, suburban train services will not be available at Neral and Karjat stations on the Up and Down lines from 11:20 AM to 1:05 PM.

The following suburban trains will be short-terminated and will start their return journey from Neral during the block period:

Down Trains:

• Train S-15 departing from CSMT at 09:30 will terminate at Neral at 11:12.
• Train S-17 departing from CSMT at 09:57 will terminate at Neral at 11:39.
• Train S-19 departing from CSMT at 10:36 will terminate at Neral at 12:15.
• Train S-21 departing from CSMT at 11:14 will terminate at Neral at 13:14.
• Trains SKP 7 and SKP 9 have been cancelled.

Up Trains:

• Train S-26 will originate from Neral at 11:35 and reach CSMT at 13:15.
• Train S-28 will originate from Neral at 12:16 and reach CSMT at 13:59.
• Train S-30 will originate from Neral at 12:39 and reach CSMT at 14:20.
• Train S-32 will originate from Neral at 13:16 and reach CSMT at 14:55.
• Trains SKP 10 and SKP 12 have been cancelled.

HARBOUR LINE

TRANS – HARBOUR LINE

Thane – Vashi/Nerul Up and Down Trans – Harbour Line (11.10 am – 04.10 pm)

Central Railway has announced a Mega Block on the Trans-Harbour Line between Thane and Vashi/Nerul for both up and down trains. The block will be in effect from 11:10 AM to 4:10 PM.

URAN LINE

WESTERN LINE

Bhayander – Borivali Up and Down Slow Lines (09.30 am – 02.30 pm)

A 4-hour jumbo block will be conducted on the UP fast line between Bhayander and Borivali stations on Sunday, January 19, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM, to carry out maintenance work on track, signalling and overhead equipment.

The Mumbai Suburban Railway Division has announced a Jumbo Block for track, signaling, and overhead equipment maintenance work. The block will take place on Sunday, 19th January 2025, from 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM, between Borivali and Goregaon stations on the Up and Down slow lines. During the block period, all slow trains between Borivali and Goregaon will operate on the Up and Down fast lines via Vile Parle or Santacruz Road. Some suburban train services will remain canceled during the block period.

• Bikaner – Sadulpur Section : Patch Doubling Work Upto 29.01.2025

The maintenance mega block / jumbo block is essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused.
