MEGA BLOCK October 01, 2023:: MUMBAI LOCAL TRAIN

MUMBAI MEGA BLOCK: CENTRAL LINE, HARBOUR LINE, TRANS HARBOUR LINE, URAN LINE, and WESTERN LINE: October 01 , 2023

Central Railway and Western Railway will conduct Mumbai Mega Block and Jumbo Block on most of the Sundays for the maintenance works of rail racks and other related works under both the Railway zones.

Central Railway’s Train Block is called ✅ Mega Block and Western Railway’s Train Block is called ✅ Jumbo Block.

Central Railway announced the details of Mega Block on Sunday, 01.10.2023. Western Railway also announced the details of Jumbo Blocks in Western Line on Sunday, 01.10.2023.

CENTRAL LINE

Central Railway announced that due to the Panvel Remodelling D-Day, there will be no Mega Block on the main line of the CSMT-Kalyan section.

The Central Railway has informed that a 38 hour block for the Panvel yard remodeling work is scheduled from 23:00 hrs on September 30, 2023, to 13:00 hrs on October 2, 2023, to facilitate the construction of dedicated freight corridor new lines. During this period, there will be no other Mega Block on the CSMT – Kalyan Mainline, Harbour Line, and Trans-Harbour Line on Sunday, October 1, 2023. HARBOUR LINE

Central Railway announced that there will be no Mega Block on the Harbour line.

Central Railway announced that due to the Panvel Remodelling D-Day, there will be no Mega Block on CSMT-Panvel harbour line including Trans-harbour line and BSU line suburban sections of Central Railway o­n 01.10.2023.

TRANS – HARBOUR LINE

Central Railway announced that there will be no Mega Block on the Trans-Harbour line o­n 01.10.2023.

URAN LINE

Central Railway announced that there will be no Mega block on the Uran line o­n 01.10.2023.

WESTERN LINE

No Day Block Over WR On Sunday 01st October 2023

However, Western Railways announced night block details separately.

VASAI ROAD – BHAYANDAR UP Line ( 11:30 PM to 3:30 AM September 29th/30th, 2023)

VASAI ROAD – BHAYANDAR Down Line ( 01:15 AM to 5:15 AM September 30th, 2023)

Western Railways (WR) will conduct essential maintenance work on the train tracks, signaling systems, and other equipment between Vasai Road and Bhayandar stations. This maintenance, referred to as a ‘Jumbo Block,’ will last for four hours. It will be carried out on the UP Fast line from 23:30 hrs to 03:30 hrs and on the DOWN Fast line from 01:15 hrs to 05:15 hrs on the intervening night of Saturday/Sunday, i.e., on September 29th/30th, 2023.

On Sunday, October 1, 2023, there will be no train interruptions during the daytime.

However, on the night of September 29th/30th, 2023, essential maintenance work will be conducted on the train tracks, signals, and electrical equipment between Vasai Road and Bhayandar stations. This work will take four hours.

During this time, a different set of tracks will be used for fast trains between Virar and Bhayandar/Borivali stations. Some of the suburban trains that usually run in both directions will be canceled. You can obtain more details from the Station Masters.

In summary, there will be no train work that disrupts the tracks during the day on Sunday, October 1, 2023.

The maintenance mega block / jumbo block is essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused.
