MUMBAI MEGA BLOCK: CENTRAL LINE, HARBOUR LINE, TRANS HARBOUR LINE, URAN LINE, and WESTERN LINE: October 11, 2026

Central Railway and Western Railway will conduct Mumbai Mega Block and Jumbo Block on most of the Sundays for the maintenance works of rail racks and other related works under both the Railway zones.

Central Railway’s Train Block is called ✅ Mega Block and Western Railway’s Train Block is called ✅ Jumbo Block.

CENTRAL LINE

Matunga – Mulund Stations : (11.05 am – 03.55 pm)

Central Railway’s Mumbai Division will implement a mega block on the Main Line between Matunga and Mulund stations on the ‘Up’ and ‘Down’ slow lines from 11:05 AM to 3:55 PM on 11.10.2026 (Sunday) for carrying out various engineering and maintenance works. During this period, it has been decided to divert the routes of some trains.

Central Railway will undertake a mega block on the Matunga – Mulund section of the main line on Sunday, 11 October 2026, to carry out maintenance work. The UP and DOWN slow lines will be affected from 11:05 hrs to 15:55 hrs.

  • Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) – Mulund: UP slow line trains departing from CSMT between 10:14 hrs and 15:32 hrs will be diverted to the UP fast line between Matunga and Mulund stations. These trains will stop at their scheduled stations between Matunga and Mulund, as well as at certain stations on the UP fast line. They will be re-diverted to the UP slow line at Mulund and will arrive at their destinations approximately 15 minutes behind schedule.
  • Thane – CSMT: DOWN slow line trains departing from Thane between 11:07 hrs and 15:51 hrs will be diverted to the DOWN fast line between Mulund and Matunga stations. These trains will stop at their scheduled stations between Mulund and Matunga, as well as at certain stations on the DOWN fast line. They will be re-diverted to the DOWN slow line at Matunga and will arrive at their destinations approximately 15 minutes behind schedule.
  • CSMT – Thane: DOWN fast line trains departing from CSMT between 11:00 hrs and 17:00 hrs will stop at their scheduled stations between CSMT and Thane, except for certain stations where halts are not scheduled.

Central Railway also announced another Major Train Blocks :-

HARBOUR LINE

CSMT – Chunabhatti/Wandre (11.10 am – 04.40 pm)

Central Railway’s Mumbai Division will implement a mega block on the Harbour Line between Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Chunabhatti/Wandre for various engineering and maintenance works on Sunday, October 11, 2026. The ‘down’ Harbour Line from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to Chunabhatti/Wandre will be blocked from 11:40 AM to 4:40 PM, and the ‘up’ Harbour Line from Chunabhatti/Wandre to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus will be blocked from 11:10 AM to 4:10 PM during this period. Some services will remain suspended during this time..

Central Railway will operate a mega block on the Harbour Line on Sunday, 11 October 2026, for maintenance work.

  • CSMT – Chunabhatti/Bandra: DOWN Harbour Line services departing from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) between 11:40 hrs and 16:40 hrs will remain suspended. Similarly, UP Harbour Line services arriving at CSMT from Chunabhatti/Bandra between 11:10 hrs and 16:10 hrs will remain suspended.
  • CSMT – Panvel/Belapur/Vashi: UP Harbour Line services departing from CSMT between 11:16 hrs and 16:47 hrs will remain suspended. DOWN Harbour Line services departing from Panvel/Belapur/Vashi between 10:48 hrs and 16:43 hrs will also remain suspended.
  • Panvel/Belapur/Vashi – Goregaon/Bandra: UP Harbour Line services departing from Panvel/Belapur/Vashi between 09:53 hrs and 15:20 hrs, and DOWN Harbour Line services departing from Goregaon/Bandra between 10:45 hrs and 17:13 hrs, will remain suspended. During this period, special local trains will operate between CSMT and Vashi.

Details of the Block

  • Between Panvel and Kurla (Platform No. 8), trains will operate on special services at intervals of 20 minutes during the block period.
  • Between Thane and Vashi/Nerul, special local train services will operate according to the schedule.
  • Between Nerul and Belapur, port line services will operate according to the schedule.
  • Harbour Line passengers travelling via the Main Line and Western Railway will be permitted to travel between 10:00 hrs and 18:00 hrs.

WESTERN LINE

Mumbai Central – Mahim Jn. (00.25 am – 04.25 am)

Western Railway announced that a Jumbo block will be undertaken on the Up Fast and 5th lines between Mumbai Central and Mahim Junction during the intervening night of 10 and 11 October 2026 (Saturday and Sunday), from 00:25 hrs to 04:25 hrs. All fast trains between Andheri / Santa Cruz and Churchgate will be operated on the slow line. Some suburban train services will be affected during the block.

The maintenance mega block / jumbo block is essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused.

  4. Can I board a train from Vidya Vihar to CSMT in the morning of 18 Aug 2024 or there will be no trains due to megablock?

  17. Please tell the details of cancelled trains leaving for pune from Mumbai on 18th November as the UPSC CDS exam is scheduled in Mumbai on 18th November so the students will get the proper information for getting trains.

    between 31/03/2018 11.30 pm to 01/04/2018, any work going on at Bhandup regarding Gurder or any other work, all lines are closed, start from 01/04/2018, about 5:45 am
