MAJOR TRAIN BLOCKS 2024

Indian Railway is conducting major train blocks for various reasons including rail maintenance, over bridge maintenance, platform renovation, doubling works, due to heavy rain etc. Even though we are updating the train cancellation details daily in some other pages, for more conveniences of readers we decided to mention the full details of the blocks with mentioning of station name , date, name of the railway zone which announced the blocks etc.

DAUND – PUNE : TRAIN REGULATION / CANCELLATION / SHORT TERMINATION UPTO 01.08.2024

Central Railway announced that due to Pre-NI and NI works for the commissioning of Electronic Interlocking at Daund on the Daund-Pune section of the Pune Division, the following trains will be rescheduled on August 1, 2024.

Train Rescheduled

• Train No.12157 Pune – Solapur Express will be rescheduled at 19.05 hrs JCO 01.08.2024. The train regulation time will be 01.10 hrs.
• Train No.11037 Pune – Gorakhpur Express will be rescheduled at 18.15 hrs JCO 01.08.2024. The train regulation time will be 02.00 hrs.
• Train No.11077 Pune – Jammu Tawi Express will be rescheduled at 20.20 hrs JCO 01.08.2024. The train regulation time will be 03.00 hrs.

DHAREWADA – SIDDHAPUR – CHHAPI : DOUBLE LINE WORK UPTO 30.07.2024

Western Railway expresses dissatisfaction that due to Non-Interlocking work for the Double Line between Dharewada – Siddhapur – Chhapi stations on the Mahesana – Palanpur section of Ahmedabad Division, a block will be in effect from July 26th, 2024. As a result, several WR trains will be cancelled, partially cancelled, or diverted. Below are the details of the affected trains:

Central Railway has announced the extension of the short termination of certain trains at Thane and Dadar stations until August 30, 2024, due to extension work on Platforms 10, 11, 12, and 13 at Mumbai CSMT. The affected train services are as follows:

TAMBARAM : LINE BLOCK UPTO 31.07.2024

Southern Railway announced that in connection with the remodelling of Tambaram Yard for engineering and signalling upgrades in the Chennai Division, a line block has been sanctioned for a few hours at varying times from July 23, 2024, to August 14, 2024. During this period, non-interlocked working of trains will be in effect, resulting in the following changes to the train service pattern. The changes listed below are effective until July 31, 2024. Changes from August 1 to August 14, 2024, will be provided later.

Southern Railway has announced that due to a line block/power block for commissioning at Karaikal Yard connecting the Peralam section in the Tiruchchirappalli Division, the following changes will be made to the pattern of train services:

Central Railway has notified for short termination of Train Service due to 30 days engineering works of the damaged yard pit line at Lokmanya Tilak Terminus as detailed below:

SURAT STATION : TRAIN REGULATION FROM 10.06.2024 TO 07.09.2024

Western Railway announced that from 10.06.2024 to 07.09.2024, Platform No. 4 of Surat Station will be undergoing concourse work in connection with the ongoing station redevelopment work (phase 1) at the station. In view of this, the terminal of few trains originating/departing from Surat railway statin will be shifted to Udhna station to provide operational flexibility and reduce congestion at Surat station. The following trains will be affected.
