MUMBAI MEGA BLOCK: CENTRAL LINE, HARBOUR LINE, TRANS HARBOUR LINE, URAN LINE, and WESTERN LINE: July 28, 2024
Central Railway and Western Railway will conduct Mumbai Mega Block and Jumbo Block on most of the Sundays for the maintenance works of rail racks and other related works under both the Railway zones.
Central Railway’s Train Block is called ✅ Mega Block and Western Railway’s Train Block is called ✅ Jumbo Block.

CENTRAL LINE
Mulund – Matunga (11:05 AM – 03:05 PM)
Central railways announced a Mega Block on the Mulund to Matunga section of the Central Railway’s UP and DOWN Fast Line is scheduled for Sunday, 28th July 2024, from 11:05 AM to 3:05 PM. This means that during these hours, train services on these fast lines will be temporarily suspended to carry out maintenance work, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the railway infrastructure.
HARBOUR LINE
Panvel – Vashi (11:05 AM – 04:05 PM)
Central railways also announced Mega Block on the Panvel to Vashi lines of the UP and DOWN Harbour Lines is scheduled for Sunday, 28th July 2024, from 11:05 AM to 4:05 PM. During this period, train services on these lines will be temporarily suspended.

WESTERN LINE
No Day Block, Only Night Block
Borivali – Bhayandar (12:00 AM – 04:35 AM)
Western Railway has announced that on Sunday, July 28, 2024, there will be no daytime block on the suburban section of Western Railway. Western Railway will take a night time Jumbo block between Borivali and Bhayandar stations from 00:00 hrs to 04:35 hrs on Saturday/Sunday, July 27/28, for the upkeep of the down slow lines.
Change Summary During Block Period:
- All slow line trains will run on fast lines between Virar/Vasai Road and Borivali/Goregaon.
- Down slow line trains between Goregaon and Virar will also run on down fast lines.
During the block period, all slow lines will be operated on the fast lines between Virar/Vasai Road and Borivali/Goregaon, and the down slow lines will be operated on the down fast lines between Goregaon and Virar stations. This adjustment is made to facilitate the maintenance and upkeep of rail tracks, signaling systems, and other equipment.
The maintenance mega block / jumbo block is essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused.
