Free allowance of luggage will be granted on oxygen cylinder and its supporting stand. Merchandized items are not permitted for booking and carriage in the compartment as personal luggage. Between the free limit and the maximum limit: you are charged at 1.5 times the normal luggage rate for the excess weight if you book it properly at the luggage office. Carried without booking (caught in the coach): Indian Railways can charge a penalty of up to six times the normal luggage rate for the excess, subject to a minimum.
