The DigiLocker facility at railway stations is part of the Digital India initiative by the Government of India to promote paperless and convenient travel. Konkan Railway has launched a DigiLocker facility at Ratnagiri, Thivim, and Udupi stations, effective from 16th October 2025. This initiative aims to enhance passenger convenience by offering a modern, secure, and self-operated luggage storage system. Passengers can now store their belongings safely and easily using a QR-based digital payment system, which accepts UPI, credit cards, debit cards, and other digital modes. The facility operates 24×7, ensuring continuous access for travelers and supporting the Government of India’s Digital India initiative to create a digitally empowered public transport system.
