Amrit Bharat Express Trains List and Route

Amrit Bharat Express is a new category of non-AC, push-pull train introduced by Indian Railways for long-distance travel. These trains are designed to provide improved passenger comfort and enhanced safety while keeping fares affordable. The coaches feature modern seating, better luggage racks, mobile charging points, and LED lighting. Amrit Bharat Express trains have a maximum speed potential of about 130 kmph and are equipped with advanced safety systems such as fire detection arrangements and Kavach, wherever available. The service mainly caters to middle- and lower-income passengers and connects major cities with important regional destinations across the country.

Fare Structure of Amrit Bharat II Express

It has been decided to introduce the Amrit Bharat II Express on Indian Railways from January 2026 onwards.
The basic fare of the Amrit Bharat II Express will be the same as that of the existing Amrit Bharat Express.
Other charges such as reservation charges and superfast surcharge, wherever applicable, will be levied separately.
The minimum chargeable distance will be 200 km for Sleeper class and 50 km for Second class.
Rounding off of fares will be done as per the existing rules.
There will be no provision for RAC tickets in this train.
For unreserved Second class, tickets will be issued as per existing provisions.
All available berths will be opened for booking from the date of the Advance Reservation Period (ARP).
In Sleeper class, only Ladies quota, Persons with Disabilities (PwD) quota, and Senior Citizen quota will be applicable as per existing instructions issued from time to time. No other reservation quota will be applicable for this train. For unreserved Second class, quota rules will apply as per existing principles.
Only those passes, warrants, or similar instruments that are fully reimbursable will be allowed for purchasing tickets.
The eligibility of Duty Pass for railway employees will be the same as that applicable for Mail and Express trains.
Concessional tickets and tickets issued against free complimentary passes, which are not reimbursable, will not be allowed in this train.
Normal child fare rules will be applicable.
To ensure that refunds are initiated within 24 hours of cancellation for reserved tickets, all payments must be made digitally.
When tickets are purchased at the booking counter, digital payment will be the preferred mode.
If a passenger is unable to make a digital payment, the refund on cancellation will be processed as per normal rules.
For unreserved second-class tickets, ticketing will continue as per existing norms.
In Sleeper class, if a passenger is travelling with a child who does not require a separate berth, the system will allot a lower berth, if available.
In Sleeper class, for male passengers aged 60 years and above and female passengers aged 45 years and above, the system will try to allot a lower berth automatically, subject to availability and operational feasibility.
