MAJOR TRAIN BLOCKS 2025

Indian Railway is conducting major train blocks for various reasons including rail maintenance, over bridge maintenance, platform renovation, doubling works, due to heavy rain etc. Even though we are updating the train cancellation details daily in some other pages, for more conveniences of readers we decided to mention the full details of the blocks with mentioning of station name , date, name of the railway zone which announced the blocks etc.

However Railway is causing inconvenience to the passengers, they are eager to restore the canceled trains as early as possible. Here we are uploading major train blocks by various zones of the Indian Railway under one page on day to day basis.

NILJE – DATIVALI : SPECIAL TRAFFIC AND POWER BLOCK On 25/26.11.2025, 30.11.2025 /01.12.2025, 02/03.12.2025 and 07/08.12.2025

Central Railway, Mumbai Division, will operate a Special Traffic and Power Block between Nilje and Dativali on the Up and Down lines to facilitate the dismantling of the existing Road Over Bridge at Sheel Phata (Km 47/8 to 47/0). This work is being carried out as part of the Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation project.

The block will be from 01.10 hrs to 04:10 hrs

The dates of block and repercussions on train running will be as follows:

On 25 / 26.11.2025 (Tuesday / Wednesday night )
- Train no 12134 Mangaluru-CSMT Superfast Express will be regulated at Kalamboli for 50 minutes.
On 30.11.2025 / 01.12.2025 (Sunday / Monday night)
- Train no 12134 Mangaluru-CSMT Superfast Express will be regulated at Kalamboli for 50 minutes.
- Train no 22193 Daund-Gwalior Superfast Express will be diverted via Karjat-Kalyan-Vasai Road and halt will be provided at Kalyan

- Train no 12134 Mangaluru-CSMT Superfast Express will be regulated at Kalamboli for 50 minutes.

PANVEL – KALAMBOLI : SPECIAL POWER BLOCK from 20/21.11.2025 to 02/03.12.2025

Central Railway, Mumbai Division, has announced that a Special Traffic and Power Block will be operated between Panvel and Kalamboli. This block will affect the platforms, Up and Down lines, Up and Down loop lines, and engine reversal lines. The block is being implemented to facilitate infringement removal work related to the Panvel–Kalamboli Coaching Complex.

Special Power Block between Panvel and Kalamboli from midnight of 20 / 21.11.2025 to 02 / 03.12.2025

There will be no repercussions on train running on on 21 / 22.11.2025 (Friday / Saturday night ). The details of dates and timing of the block and repercussions on train running will be as follows:

Northern Railway announced that due to Redevelopment work at Ghaziabad Railway Station Platform No. 3,4,5 and 6 over Delhi Division, the following trains shall remain temporarily cancelled/Extension of train and change in platform, as under:-

SANKAVAL – CANSAULIM – MAJORDA : LINE BLOCK FROM 18.11.2025 TO 01.01.2026

Konkan Railway announced that as notified by South Western Railway, the following trains are Cancelled due to Line Block between Sankaval – Cansaulim – Majorda ( Single line) from 18/11/2025 to 01/01/2026 ( 45 Days).

The Vasco Da Gama – Kulem DEMU train (Train No. 56964) will remain fully cancelled for 45 trips from 18 November 2025 to 01 January 2026.
The Kulem – Vasco Da Gama DEMU train (Train No. 56963) will also remain cancelled for 45 trips during the same period.

LUCKNOW JUNCTION : STATION REDEVELOPMENT AND MAJOR UPGRADATION WORK UPTO 21.12.2025

Western Railway announced that in view of the ongoing work for redevelopment & major upgradation work of Lucknow Junction, a block will be undertaken from 20th November to 22nd December, 2025. The details of the train affected due to the block are as under:

Train No. 20921 Bandra Terminus – Lucknow Weekly Express, journey commencing from 22.11.2025 to 20.12.2025 will terminate at Aishbagh station instead of Lucknow Jn.

Southern Railway announced that in view of Signal/Traffic Block for commissioning of Electronic Interlocking at Tiruninravur Yard, the following changes have been made in the pattern of train services:

Northern Railway announced that due to Power and traffic blocks in connection with regirdering of bridge no. 228A between Ghaziabad -Tundla Jn section, the following trains will remain temporarily diverted/regulated, as under:-

South Central Railway announced that due to a traffic block for carrying out traffic facility works in the Kacheguda–Dhone and Kacheguda–Mudkhed sections of the Hyderabad Division, the following trains will be cancelled, partially cancelled, or regulated as detailed below.

DHATRIGRAM STATION – SAMUDRAGARH STATION : TRAFFIC BLOCK UPTO 16.11.2025 – 21.11.2025

In reference to the earlier advertisement regarding the regulation of trains due to a four-hour (from 2:05 hrs to 6:05 hrs) daily Traffic and Power Block on the UP Line between Dhatrigram station limit and Samudragarh station (Km. 51/540 – 56/951) in the Bandel – Katwa section over Howrah Division from October 16, 2025, to November 21, 2025, intermittently, it is informed that the block has been rescheduled due to Rash Purnima. The earlier notified train regulation will be restored.

The revised block will now be in effect for seven days — from November 4, 2025 (Tuesday) to November 25, 2025 (Tuesday) — intermittently. Accordingly, instead of the earlier schedule, the following trains will be regulated on November 4 (Tuesday), November 7 (Friday), November 11 (Tuesday), November 14 (Friday), November 18 (Tuesday), November 21 (Friday), and November 25 (Tuesday), 2025.

Cancellation : From Bandel – Train No. 37741 From Katwa – Train No. 37742
Rescheduled : Train No. 37743 Bandel–Katwa Local will be rescheduled to depart at 5:20 hrs instead of 4:30 hrs.

KAKDWIP – NAMKHANA : REGULATION OF TRAINS FOR MAINTENANCE WORK UPTO 19.11.2025

Eastern Railway announced that for track maintenance work, a four-hour traffic block (from 12:30 am to 4:30 am) will be necessary in the Kakdwip – Namkhana single line section under Sealdah Division for 17 continuous days — from the intervening night of November 1/2, 2025 (Saturday/Sunday) to the intervening night of November 18/19, 2025 (Tuesday/Wednesday).

Consequently, the following trains will be regulated as under:

From November 2, 2025 (Sunday) to November 18, 2025 (Tuesday): Train No. 34936 DN Lakshmikantapur – Namkhana Local will be short-terminated at Kakdwip.
From November 3, 2025 (Monday) to November 19, 2025 (Wednesday): Train No. 34914 DN Lakshmikantapur – Namkhana Local will remain cancelled.

The following trains will have short originations:

Train No. 34935 UP Namkhana–Lakshmikantapur Local will start from Kakdwip.
Train No. 34791 UP Namkhana–Sealdah Local will start from Lakshmikantapur.

For track maintenance work, another four-hour traffic block (from 11:35 pm to 3:35 am) will be required on the UP line in the Plassey–Rejinagar section under Sealdah Division during the intervening nights of November 3/4, 2025 (Monday/Tuesday), November 5/6, 2025 (Wednesday/Thursday), and November 8/9, 2025 (Saturday/Sunday). As a result, Train No. 53181 UP Sealdah–Lalgola Passenger will be rescheduled by 30 minutes from Sealdah on November 3, 5, and 8, 2025.

JOKATTE – THOKUR : REGULATION OF TRAINS UPTO 09.11.2025

South Western Railway announced that Southern Railway has notified that the following trains will be regulated due to the doubling of track and related engineering works between Jokatte and Thokur. The details of regulated trains are as follows:

CSMT MUMBAI : TRAFFIC AND POWER BLOCK AT CSMT FROM 01.10.2025 TO 19.12.2025

Traffic and power block at CSMT platform 18 for redevelopment work will be from 01.10.2025 to 19.12.2025

Central Railway announced that CR will operate Traffic and Power Block at Platform no 18 of CSMT, in connection with redevelopment work of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus, being carried out by Rail Land Development Authority(RLDA).

Foundational work and erection of safety barricades on platform no 18 will be carried out during the block. The duration of block will be for a period of 80 days i.e from 01.10.2025 to 19.12.2025. During the block period, train operations from Platform no 18 will remain suspended from 01.10.2025 till completion of work and handing over of the platform by RLDA for traffic operations.

South Western Railway announced that due to a line block for safety-related and railway electrification work between Sakleshpur – Subrahmanya Road section from June 1 to 11, 2025, the following train services will be cancelled:

Train No. 16539 Yesvantpur–Mangaluru Junction Weekly Express, which runs on Saturdays, will be cancelled from May 31 to November 1, 2025.
Similarly, Train No. 16540 Mangaluru Junction–Yesvantpur Weekly Express, which operates on Sundays, will be cancelled from June 1 to November 2, 2025.
Train No. 16575 Yesvantpur–Mangaluru Junction Gomteshwara Tri-weekly Express, running on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, will be cancelled from June 1 to October 30, 2025.
Its pairing train, Train No. 16576 Mangaluru–Yesvantpur Gomteshwara Tri-weekly Express, running on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, will also be cancelled from June 2 to October 31, 2025.
Train No. 16515 Yesvantpur–Karwar Tri-weekly Express, operating on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, will be cancelled from June 2 to October 31, 2025.

GORAKHPUR STATION : TRAIN BLOCK UPTO 02.12.2025

Western Railway announced that due to the blocking of Old Pit No. 1 and the permanent dismantling of Old Pit No. 2 at Gorakhpur station in North Eastern Railway, a few Western Railway trains will be affected. The affected trains are as follows:

Now a days lot of trains are having loose times which can be utilized for eg train no 17031
Mumbai Hyderabad express right time at solapur is 22.05 22.15 but it will come at 22.55 and leaves at 23.05 almost 40mts late but will arrive Hyderabad at 5.45 am instead of 5.55am
Similarly train no 17319 which leaves secunderabad at 15.40 reaches at 22.10 to Hotgi and departs at 23.10 reaches Gadag at 5.20 leaves Gadag at 6.10 am and reaches Hubli at 7.25 am.The timings can be changed so that the train can reach Hubli at 6.50am.

Train no 11304 reaches Dharwar at 15.15 and reaches Hubballi at 15.50 leaves at 16.15 and reaches Guntakal at 22.00 arrives at 4.20at vikarabad . If you cutshort halt at Hubli and other the train can reach 5.45 am secunderabad.

Suddenly all the trains were cancelled causing inconvenience to passengers and the railway in one line regretted. The works as informed could have been segregated.
Today I am stuck at Guwahati as our train was cancelled. We were in a group of about 100 passengers, going to Odisha, about 1000 KM’s most are senior citizens and ladies booked tickets in the month of February 19. The plight can be well imagined. The train was cancelled abruptly with out prior information. The train could be rescheduled/diverted as the train covers long route. The authority could have planned early and stopped booking and notify in the Newspaper in advance
