Indian Railways introduced Vistadome trains to promote tourism across the country by connecting popular tourist destinations through rail. These trains are equipped with modern amenities to enhance passenger comfort and travel experience. The concept was first launched in 2018 on the Jan Shatabdi Express route between Mumbai and Madgaon, offering breathtaking views of the Western Ghats.

Northern Railway announced that it is notified for the information of the general public that for the convenience of rail passengers and to clear extra rush,Railways have decided to extend the periodicity of the Train No. 04688/04687 Budgam – Banihal – Budgam Summer Special trains as par detail below:-
The following train services have been extended as detailed below:
- Train No. 04688 (Badgam – Banihal), operating daily except Friday, was earlier notified to run until 03.06.2025. Its service has now been extended from 04.06.2025 to 03.08.2025, covering a total of 52 trips.
- Train No. 04687 (Banihal – Badgam), also running daily except Friday, has similarly been extended from 04.06.2025 to 03.08.2025, with a total of 52 trips.

The facilities provided are adequate and include wide windows, observation window at one end, roof with glass lookout with controlled opalescence, rotatable seats, passenger information system, automatic sliding doors, mini pantry, the wide door for divyang, etc.
Apart from standard safety arrangements, the Glass used in Vistadome coaches is shatter resistant with a film coating for the safety of passengers.

In help also no information available. Please provide information on how to book in this site. How will we know we are getting Vistadome ticket ?.
