MUMBAI MEGA BLOCK: CENTRAL LINE, HARBOUR LINE, TRANS HARBOUR LINE, URAN LINE, and WESTERN LINE: November 23, 2025

Central Railway and Western Railway will conduct Mumbai Mega Block and Jumbo Block on most of the Sundays for the maintenance works of rail racks and other related works under both the Railway zones.

Central Railway’s Train Block is called ✅ Mega Block and Western Railway’s Train Block is called ✅ Jumbo Block.

Central Railway announced the details of Mega Block on Sunday, i.e., on 23.11.2025. Western Railway also announced the details of Jumbo Blocks in the Western Line on 23.11.2025. Mumbai local train mega block details are as follows:

Mumbai Sunday Mega Block

CENTRAL LINE

Thane – Kalyan Stations (09.34 am – 03.40 pm)

Central Railway, Mumbai Division will operate a Mega Block on its Main Line suburban sections on 23.11.2025 to carry out essential engineering and maintenance works. The Mega Block will be in effect on the Main Line across Mumbai Division on the said date.

  • UP and DOWN FAST Lines between Thane and Kalyan stations from 10.40 hrs to 15.40 hrs.
  • Down Fast/Semi-Fast local services departing CSMT Mumbai from 09.34 hrs to 15.03 hrs will be diverted o­n Down Slow line between Thane and Kalyan stations halting at Kalva, Mumbra and Diva stations in addition to their respective scheduled halts and will arrive destination 10 minutes later than their scheduled arrival.
  • Up Fast/Semi-fast services departing Kalyan from 10.28 hrs to 15.40 hrs will be diverted o­n Up Slow line between Kalyan and Thane stations halting at Diva, Mumbra and Kalva stations in addition to their respective scheduled halts and further re-diverted o­n Up Fast line at Mulund station and will arrive destination 10 minutes later than their scheduled arrival.
  • Down Mail/Express trains departing CSMT/Dadar will be diverted o­n 5th line between Thane and Kalyan stations.
  • Up Mail/Express trains arriving CSMT/Dadar will be diverted o­n 6th line between Kalyan and Thane/ Vikhroli stations.

HARBOUR LINE

Central Railway has announced that there will be no Mega Block on the Harbour Line on 23.11.2025.

TRANS – HARBOUR LINE

Central Railway has announced that there will be no Mega Block on the Trans – Harbour Line on 23.11.2025

URAN LINE

The details of the Mega Block on the URAN Line have not yet been announced

WESTERN LINE

Vasai Road – Vaitarna (11.55 am – 04.30 am)

WR’s Night Block between on the intervening Night of 21st/22nd November, 2025

Western Railway announced that to carry out maintenance work of tracks, signalling and overhead equipment, a Jumbo block of six hours will be taken o­n UP and DOWN Fast lines between Vasai Road and Vaitarna stations o­n the intervening night of Friday/Saturday i.e. o­n 21st/22nd November, 2025. The block on UP Fast line will be undertaken from 23:55 hrs to 02:55 hrs, while o­n DOWN Fast line it will be from 01:30 hrs to 04:30 hrs.

  • Due to the block, Train No. 19101 Virar-Bharuch MEMU will be delayed by 15 minutes and hence will depart from Virar at 04:50 hrs instead of its scheduled departure at 04:35 hrs.

Western Railway announced another Major Train Blocks also :-

The maintenance mega block / jumbo block is essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused.
