MUMBAI MEGA BLOCK: CENTRAL LINE, HARBOUR LINE, TRANS HARBOUR LINE, URAN LINE, and WESTERN LINE: October 20, 2024
Central Railway and Western Railway will conduct Mumbai Mega Block and Jumbo Block on most of the Sundays for the maintenance works of rail racks and other related works under both the Railway zones.
Central Railway’s Train Block is called ✅ Mega Block and Western Railway’s Train Block is called ✅ Jumbo Block.

Central Railway announced the details of Mega Block on Sunday i.e. on 20.10.2024. Western Railway also announced the details of Jumbo Blocks in Western Line on 20.10.2024. Mumbai local train mega block details are as follows

CENTRAL LINE
Thane – Kalyan Up and Down Slow Lines (00:30 hrs – 04:30 hrs)
- Down Slow Line
- Last local before block for Titwala : The last local before the block will depart from CSMT at 23:16 hrs on 19th October 2024, and it will arrive at Titwala at 00:59 hrs on 20th October 2024.
- First local after block for Karjat : The first local after the block will depart from Thane at 05:00 hrs on 20th October 2024, and it will arrive at Karjat at 06:25 hrs.
- Up Slow Line
- Last local before block from Badlapur : The last local before the block will depart from Kalyan at 23:52 hrs on 19th October 2024, and it will arrive at CSMT at 01:20 hrs on 20th October 2024.
- First local after block from Ambernath : The first local after the block will depart from Kalyan at 04:21 hrs on 20th October 2024, and it will arrive at CSMT at 05:30 hrs.
Additional Information:
- Down Slow Line services departing from CSMT at 11:30 pm, 11:51 pm, 12:02 am, and 12:12 am will be diverted on Down Fast Line between Mulund and Kalyan stations. These trains will stop at Kopar and Thakurli stations and will arrive at their destination 15 minutes later than their scheduled time.
- Up Slow Line services departing from Kalyan at 03:23 am and 03:57 am will be diverted on Up Fast Line between Kalyan and Mulund stations and will not halt at Thakurli and Kopar stations and further re-diverted on Up Slow line at Mulund. These trains will arrive at their destination 15 minutes later than their scheduled time.
Central Railway announced another Major Train Block also, details are following:- Kasara Station : Special Traffic and Power blocks for NI works on 20.10.2024 and 21.10.2024
HARBOUR LINE
Kurla – Vashi Up and Down Harbour Lines (11:10 hrs – 16:10 hrs)
- Down Harbour Line
- Last local before block to Panvel : The last local before the block will depart from CSMT at 10:18 hrs and will arrive at Panvel at 11:38 hrs.
- First local after block to Panvel : The first local after the block will depart from CSMT at 15:44 hrs and will arrive at Panvel at 17:04 hrs.
- Up Harbour Line
- Last local before block to CSMT : The last local before the block will depart from Panvel at 10:05 hrs and will arrive at CSMT at 11:24 hrs.
- First local after block to CSMT : The first local after the block will depart from Panvel at 15:45 hrs and will arrive at CSMT at 17:04 hrs.
Additional Information:
Special suburban trains will run on the CSMT – Kurla and Panvel – Vashi sections during the block period.
TRANS – HARBOUR LINE
Trans-harbour line services will be available between Thane-Vashi/Nerul stations during the block period.
URAN LINE
Central Railway has not yet announced the details of the Mega Block on the URAN Line for 20th October 2024.
WESTERN LINE
Western Railway announced that there will be No Block over WR’s Suburban Section on 20th October 2024.
Western Railway also announced another Major Train Blocks :-
- Udvada – Vapi Station and Atul – Valsad : Train Block Upto 11.11.2024
- Jalandhar Cant. Station : Traffic Block Upto 24.10.2024
- Surat Station : Station Redevelopment Work : Train Updates Upto 31.10.2025
The maintenance mega block / jumbo block is essential for infrastructure upkeep and safety. Passengers are requested to bear with the Railway Administration for the inconvenience caused.
