Salient Features AC EMU
- All the coaches of these trains will be fully air-conditioned, and they are made of stainless steel with straight side walls.
- All 12 coaches in the rake are connected end-to-end by sealed, wider vestibule gangways.
- Each AC EMU coach is equipped with four electrically operated double-leaf automatic sliding doors on each side.
- The coaches have wide, double-sealed glass windows that provide a panoramic view.
- Three-seater stainless steel seats are provided in all coaches, with a total seating capacity of approximately 1,100 passengers.
- All coaches are fitted with CCTV surveillance.
- Each coach is provided with wear-resistant rubber flooring, aluminium extruded modular luggage racks, and GPS-based LED display systems for passenger information and announcements to enhance passenger comfort and convenience.
- The train doors will open only after the train arrives at stations and will close before departure.
- The doors will remain closed while the train is in motion for safety reasons.
- The control of the doors will remain with the driver or guard, who will operate the doors of the train compartments.

- Train No.31845 Sealdah – Krishnanagar AC EMU local will leave Sealdah at 09:48 hrs. to reach Krishnanagar at 12:07 hrs. and 31846 Krishnanagar – Sealdah AC EMU local will leave Krishnanagar at 13:30 hrs. to reach Sealdah at 15:40 hrs. (will run daily except on Sundays).

- Train No.31347 Sealdah – Kalyani AC EMU local will leave Seladah at 15:35 hrs. to reach Kalyani at 16:52 hrs. and 31344 Kalyani – Sealdah AC EMU local will leave Kalyani at 17:02 hrs. to reach Sealdah at 18:20 hrs. with effect from 04.12.2025. Both the trains will run from Monday to Saturday.

SEALDAH – LALGOLA Section : MEMU Passenger
Eastern Railway announced that for the convenience of the passengers, Eastern Railway’s Sealdah Division has decided to run the existing scheduled 09 (nine) passengers services using MEMU rakes having toilet facility with effect from 14.05.2026. The introduction of following MEMU rakes with enhanced passenger amenities will provide improved comfort and convenience, particularly for daily commuters and long-distance passengers travelling in suburban and non-suburban sections under Sealdah Division:

Tarakeswar and Seoraphuli : EMU Local
Eastern Railway’s Howrah Division has decided to introduce a new daily EMU local service between Tarakeswar and Seoraphuli. This new service is scheduled to be operational from 16.03.2026 and will cater to the needs of the suburban passengers on a daily basis. To ensure maximum benefit for commuters across the section, the train will provide stoppages at all stations enroute.
- In the Down direction, the Tarakeswar – Seoraphuli EMU local will leave Tarakeswar at 10:05 hrs. to reach Seoraphuli by 10:53 hrs.
- In the UP direction, the Seoraphuli – Tarakeswar local will leave Seoraphuli at 11:04 hrs. to reach Tarakeswar at 11:50 hrs.
